First it was Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz. And now, Ed Sheeran is the latest celebrity to secretly marry his now-wife, Cherry Seaborn.
It all started earlier today when the “Perfect” singer, 28, sat down for an interview with Charlamagne tha God and revealed that he and Seaborn tied the knot back in December. Although they didn’t formally announce the news, Sheeran did reference his “wife” in his new song with Eminem and 50 Cent, “Remember the Name,” though no one picked up on the lyric.
“I knew that we’d be married by the point that the song came out,” he said in the interview. “[I thought] Someone’s gonna hear that and be like, ‘Oh, they’re married!’ I didn’t know how that would be construed, but obviously it’s already come out.”
Sheeran is referring to one of the verses in “Remember the Name,” which says: “Watch how the lyrics in the songs might get twisted / My wife wears red but looks better without the lipstick.”
