Joanna Gaines Gets Emotional About Daughter Ella in New Home Tour Video

Wow, time sure flies. Just ask Joanna Gaines.

The Fixer Upper alum, 46, took to social media ahead of her oldest daughter Ella turning 18, and and discussed getting emotional for the milestone.

“One more sleep til our Ella is 18! My how time flies [teary-eyed emoji][sparkle emoji]” Joanna captioned the post, which featured a video set to OneRepublic’s upbeat hit “Good Life.”

The clip showed the Magnolia founder panning through their beautifully decorated living space, showcasing a charming blue and sage-green color scheme with an international flair for the birthday. Party plates that read “Oui” and a gift featuring a book titled Paris Style also set the tone for the festivities.

Of course, no birthday bash is complete without some classic decor and sweet treats. The clip included a peek at a display of cupcakes, a "Happy Birthday" banner and an array of oversized blue, green and white balloons floating around the living room.

In another post, Joanna shared her flower arrangement process for the birthday celebration. Set to Harry Nilsson’s classic “Over The Rainbow,” she wrote, “My baby girl is turning 18 tomorrow. I just might be crying while making the happiest bday bouquet.”

The comments section was flooded with birthday wishes for Ella, compliments on Joanna’s stunning decor (seriously, she always nails it) and other parents who could totally relate to her bittersweet feelings.

One person shared, “We call this ‘birthday magic’ at our house, always done the night before or in the wee hours if I couldn’t find the energy to stay awake. Now that my kids are getting older, they ask to help with birthday magic for their siblings—the best!”
