Jenna Ortega Just Rocked This 2022 Beauty Trend on the Cover of ‘The Cut’ Mag—& I'm Obsessed

Reigning scream queen Jenna Ortega has been shelling out some killer looks recently.

From her dangerously sharp, rose-colored-glass mosaic mini dress to her now deep burgundy tresses, the young actress knows how to make a fashion *and* beauty statement while looking effortlessly cool. Recently, the 22-year-old graced the latest issue of The Cut magazine as their April/May cover star, where she discussed her time working on her latest film, Death of a Unicorn, her budding friendship with co-star Paul Rudd and taking on her new role as executive producer on the upcoming season of Wednesday.

While reading—and gushing over—her page-turning cover story, I couldn't help but notice that the star was rocking one trend that PureWow editors (and beauty experts) declared out for 2023. But now, in 2025, it seems this statement beauty trend is getting ready to make a resurgence. And the trend in question? Bleached brows.

Draped in a sea of Schiaparelli, Alaïa, Prada and Ludovic de Saint Sernin, the slasher starlette's fashionable looks were paired with '70s-inspired loose waves, a smoked-out eye look and nearly unnoticeable eyebrows.

Whether permanent or not, it's clear that Ortega is loving her blonde brow era, as she recently sported them again on April 1 at CinemaCon, coupled with a spring-ready lilac ensemble and a bronzy glam. The star was promoting another upcoming project, Hurry Up Tomorrow, where she stars alongside pop musician, the Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye), as the film is a companion to his album of the same name, which was released this January. The project is described as an experimental metathriller about the "unraveling of the musician’s pop persona," writes The Cut.

Tesfaye shared a few words with the magazine about one of Ortega's scenes in the film, writing, "Jenna channeled something so raw, she truly scared the f*** out of me." Sheesh.
