There's been no shortage of royal baby news this summer. First, Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan welcomed their first child early in August. Then, mere days later, Prince Ludwig and Princess Sophie of Bavaria announced the arrival of their baby boy. And now, yet another royal baby is on the way.

Yesterday, Princess Sofia of Sweden, 39, and Prince Carl Philip, 44, announced that they are expecting their fourth baby. The Swedish royal couple shared the exciting news on their official Instagram account, alongside a stunning oceanside selfie. The caption reads, "Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia have the great pleasure to announce that the Princess is expecting the couple's fourth child."

The couple also confirmed the baby's due date, adding, "Princess Sofia is doing well and the offspring is estimated to be February 2025. During the fall, no changes are expected to Princess Sofia's official program."

One fan commented, "Wonderful news, congratulations to you and your family." Another added, "Congratulations, I just feel like the new baby is a little princess."

Currently, Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip share three sons: Prince Alexander (8), Prince Gabriel (7) and Prince Julian (3). Alexander is now fifth in the line of succession to the Swedish throne, while Gabriel is sixth and Julian is seventh. Once their little sibling is born, he or she will be eighth in line to the throne behind Julian. Also, the newborn will not receive the official HRH title ("His Royal Highness"), due to King Carl XVI Gustaf's decision to streamline the Swedish royal family in 2019.

When the princess welcomed her youngest boy in 2021, she took to Instagram and opened up about being a boy mom. With rare black-and-white photos of the newborn and his brothers, she wrote, "Life has given me not only one but four beautiful princes. A sincere thank you from us for all the warm congratulations in connection with Julian's descent."

And of course, I can't forget about her Bridgerton-esque pics of Julian's christening at Drottningholm Palace in the same year. The slideshow featured stunning family portraits and a sneak peek of the palace’s interior. The caption reads, “Official photographs from Saturday’s baptism of Prince Julian. The first picture shows the newly baptized Prince together with his family and his sponsors Jacob Högfeldt, Frida Vesterberg, Patrick Sommerlath and Stina and Johan Andersson. In the second picture, Prince Julian is surrounded by his parents, brothers, the royal couple and Erik and Marie Hellqvist.”

Major congrats to the happy couple!
