If you haven’t already noticed, Taylor Swift is in her corset era. She has not only worn this style on multiple occasions, but she has also inspired other celebrities to sport bustier-style tops, too. And now, Sofía Vergara is joining the likes of Swift, Meghan Markle and Princess Charlene of Monaco.
This week, the Modern Family alum, 52, shared a slideshow of photos on her personal Instagram account, featuring herself wearing a trendy corset top.
It’s hard to see the corset in the first photo, but if you scroll to the right, you’ll see two more photos where the top is on full display. It features a maroon see-through lace bodice, with cups that are seemingly lined with nude fabric.
When I saw Vergara’s photo, I immediately thought of Swift. Earlier this year, the pop singer wore a black and yellow plaid corset top with an attached flowing train to the VMAs. And in November, she stepped out in NYC wearing a swishy off the shoulder striped dress with a water color-esque corset upper and off-the-shoulder sleeves.
Swift also sported the trend during not one, but two NFL appearances. The musician started off with a fitted denim corset top and matching high waisted shorts during boyfriend Travis Kelce's first regular game of the season. Then, she rocked a black satin fitted corset underneath a matching red and black houndstooth blazer and skirt.
It’s safe to say that corsets are here to stay.
