Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently announced their intention to launch a new nonprofit called Archewell “when the time is right.” But from the looks of their trademark application, it appears the Duchess of Sussex might return to her roots as an actress.
Yep, a March 3 trademark application submitted to the U.S. Patent Trademark Office by the couple’s lawyers clearly states that they’d like to reserve the rights to use Archewell for several different purposes. In particular, the organization will oversee a number of different TV shows and movies, according to The Daily Mail.
Given the fact that Markle starred on Suits prior to her experience as a (now former) senior member of the royal family and recently even voiced a Disney documentary called Elephant, it seems like perhaps she and her husband are turning their attention toward the entertainment industry.
We’re not totally surprised, since the couple is currently living in Los Angeles with their 1-year-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Still, we can’t help but wonder whether Markle will star in the new projects or serve strictly as showrunner.
