Ever since With Love, Meghan premiered on Netflix, fans have been flooding social media with questions about Meghan Markle’s clothing and beauty routine. This prompted the Duchess of Sussex to share a curated list of her favorite products, including a step-by-step guide on how to achieve her clean nail aesthetic.
Meghan Markle’s Soap Nails Deserve a Spot on Your Spring Mood Board
Clean and simple

Markle revealed that she uses one coat of CND Shellac in “Satin Slippers” over one coat of CND Shellac in “Romantique.” Markle wrote, “You’ve asked about my nail polish on With Love, Meghan—one coat of each, plus a few of my other essentials. Enjoy!”
I immediately noticed that this color combination is giving major soap nail vibes (aka the buzziest mani trend of 2025). “Soap nails” refer to soft, sheer manicures that aim to complement *you*. The goal is to select a sheer nude polish that closely matches your skin tone or a pink hue that enhances your natural nails.

According to Lauren Ortega (a New York-based DND Gel nail artist), “The beauty of soap nails is that you can wear them however you like. Spice them up with extremely minimal details like a simple dot near the cuticle area or some 3D details.”
Markle’s go-to CND polish is a chip-resistant polish that is designed to last up to two weeks. The neutral tone is similar to Kate Middleton’s nail color of choice: two coats of Ballet Slippers by Essie. The only difference is Markle’s combo is slightly more pink and translucent, whereas Princess Catherine's shade is a solid nude.
Of course, nail polish wasn’t the only thing included in Markle’s list of go-to beauty products. She also shared links for a dewy moisturizer, a glowy multipurpose super gel and a lip butter balm.
I’m totally adding soap nails to my spring mood board.
