It's a must see

It's not every day that a movie comes out and has the potential to become an instant classic, especially in the comedy genre. Think Napoleon Dynamite, Superbad, Friday, Girls Trip — those movies have become pop culture staples that I'd argue can cross generations. Honestly, I haven’t felt that way about a comedy in years… that is, until I saw One of Them Days. So, you better believe I was all over it when it finally dropped on Netflix last week — and apparently, so was everyone else because it's holding down the #1 spot right now.

Starring Keke Palmer and SZA in her film debut, the story follows two friends scrambling to find rent money after one of their boyfriends blows through it. What follows is a mad dash to avoid eviction and keep their friendship from falling apart, all while chaos unfolds around them. (Check out our full review here.)

To make this even better, the film was produced by Issa Rae through her Hoorae Media production company and it features appearances from comedy legend Katt Williams, Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), Janelle James (Abbott Elementary) and Maude Apatow (Euphoria). Basically, get ready to laugh so hard your abs might actually feel it.

Originally released in theaters in January, the film held a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes for a while. Though it's dipped a bit since (it's currently boasts a 94% on the Tomatometer) the verdict is in and One of Them Days is a hit.

One critic summed it up on Rotten Tomatoes, writing, "One of Them Days delivers laugh-out-loud comedy and creates a layered world of friendship, community, and sweet romance. A modern comedy classic." Another said, "With its mix of humor and heart, this chick flick is a feel-good ride that keeps you hooked."

With that, I just have one question: If you haven’t seen it yet, what are you waiting for? Seriously.
