Dan Levy Just Announced Major ‘Schitt's Creek’ News

The wins just keep on coming for Dan Levy.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the Schitt's Creek actor would be starring in a brand-new cooking show on HBO. Now, it looks like the Emmy Award-winner has another reason to celebrate.

Levy recently collaborated with his father and former Schitt's Creek co-creator, Eugene Levy, on a brand-new book, titled Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: The Story of Schitt's Creek. And late last night, Levy revealed that the book has reached the New York Times best seller list for nonfiction.

He shared the news on his Instagram, saying, “Ended the night with the news that we are officially @nytimes best selling authors. Bonkers. Thank you to everyone who bought a book and everyone who contributed to it. x.”

The news was also shared on The New York Times website with a fitting headline that said, “Ew, David, Your Book Is a Best Seller!” The TV show tie-in hopped into the list at the number three position.

Fellow entertainers sent their congrats to the actor, like Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who said, “Oh my god DAN!!!!!! Congrats!” Meanwhile, Insecure actress Yvonne Orji wrote, “Ohhhh my gosh!!!!! That’s HUUUGGEEE!!! The gift that keeps on giving!!”

According to the write-up from publisher Black Dog & Leventhal, the coffee table book includes special features like “The complete, illustrated catalogs of David's knits and Moira's wigs, Moira's vocabulary, Alexis's adventures and behind-the-scenes moments from Dan and Eugene Levy and the cast of Schitt's Creek.”

Levy and his father promoted the book when it was released in late October, which the actor shared in a post that said, “A quick 24 hours in NYC to launch the book with Euge. So nice seeing everyone last night at @beacontheatre! Last night’s event resulted in 2780 books sold through @thelitbar - a Bronx-based independent bookshop/wine bar! While you can buy the book everywhere today, I encourage you to shop local.”

Congrats to Dan and the rest of the Schitt's Creek fam!
