It's not looking good for Miyagi-Do

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

The final moments of episode five from Cobra Kai season six left me teetering on the edge of my seat. There was Tory (Peyton List), standing tall beside a smug John Creese (Martin Kove) while the Miyagi-Do team stared back with their mouths agape. Then, of course, there was the look of hurt and betrayal on Robby's (Tanner Buchanan) face that nearly wrecked me. But there was one question that lingered in my mind as the credits started to roll: Does Miyagi-Do even stand a chance?

It's worth noting that Danny LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) echoed my concerns even before the final six headed to Barcelona. If you recall, there's a moment where he turns to Johnny (William Zabka) and says, “Do you honestly believe we have our strongest team?” Clearly, they're now at a disadvantage without Tory—and thanks to this recent twist, I've got a few predictions on how things will play out for the other characters in part two.

The show's co-creator, Jon Hurwitz, told Tudum, “Putting our characters in different environments with different pairings is something that we love to do because we want every episode to feel different. It's got to bring a new dynamic. The question is, will they implode from within? Will conflicts reemerge within our team? And eventually, will they be up for the task when the challenges show up at the Sekai Taikai?”

Something tells me the drama will increase tenfold come November (new eps drop November 28). Until then, here are nine Cobra Kai season six part two theories that make total sense.

Theory 1: Kenny Will Return to Cobra Kai

You'll remember how Devon (Oona O'Brien) pulled her laxative stunt and cheated her way into the final six, embarrassing Kenny (Dallas Dupree Young) and robbing him of his chance to compete at the Sekai Taikai. Since he's convinced that Anthony (Griffin Santopietro) set him up and continues to hold a grudge, it's likely he'll ditch team Miyagi-Do altogether and set his sights on Cobra Kai. After all, he tried to do the right thing and make nice with his former enemies, but it didn't get him very far.

So now, I imagine he'll pull a Tory and agree to train with Kreese, who's already got a knack for teaching his students to fight from their anger. "Strike first, strike hard, no mercy" will become Kenny's new motto.

Theory 2: Devon's Secret Will be Exposed

Speaking of Kenny's humiliation, it's only a matter of time before Devon's secret plan comes to light. Johnny, who developed a special bond with Devon, is quick to celebrate her victory, but it's clear she's already feeling guilty for what she did. Zabka told Tudum, “That was the one person he was really fighting for and passionate about being [in the Sekai Taikai]. The fact that she’s there and she pulled a little trick to do it, Johnny doesn’t know about that yet.”

My guess? The guilt will eat Devon alive as Johnny continues to praise her efforts and vouch for her, assuming she rightfully earned her spot. And there will come a point where she blurts the truth out to Johnny, because he has become like a father figure and she values his trust. But even if Devon winds up keeping her mouth shut, it's possible that someone saw her spike Kenny's water. And I'm almost certain that person will threaten to expose her.

Theory 3: Tory Will Find Out Kreese Killed Her Mom

The timing of her mom's death was a little too coincidental. I mean, what are the odds that Tory's mom dies on the same day that Kreese confronts her, insisting that she is his champion? This is the same guy who trains emotionally scarred kids and bullies them to channel their negative emotions into their fights—even if they risk seriously injuring their opponents. Not to mention how he intentionally stirred up conflict between Kim Da-Eun's top students to motivate his star pupil.

So, who's to say that Kreese wouldn't go as far as murdering Tory's mom to make her more vulnerable and therefore, destined to return to the protective father figure who took her under his wing? I'm predicting that Kreese's Queen Cobra will realize that she is being manipulated and used. She'll stumble upon a clue of some kind, or perhaps overhear something that will lead her to the truth behind how her mother died.

Theory 4: Or...Tory Already Suspects Kreese

Since Tory is riddled with grief and anger, it makes total sense that she rejoined Kreese. No doubt, he will give her free reign to destroy anything and anyone in her path, which is exactly what she wants. But what if there's more to this than meets the eye? What if she figured something out and secretly made a plan to keep her enemy close? What if she's already investigating her mom's death by pretending to give her allegiance to Cobra Kai?

Sure, she's dealing with a lot emotionally, but Tory has already seen enough to know how corrupt Kreese is—and more importantly, how he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants. Maybe she's just keeping up appearances to avoid any suspicion while keeping an eye on her new sensei.

Theory 5: Miyagi-Do Will Lose at the Sekai Taikai

As I previously mentioned, I'm not at all convinced that Miyagi-Do has a fair shot at winning the competition. For one, all of their strongest fighters are not competing. One finalist was insecure enough to cheat for a position, and the other used manipulation, rather than his actual skills, to secure a spot. Then of course, there's the fact that they're way out of Cobra Kai's league. Not to dismiss the impressive skills of their star students, but Kreese's team is incredibly skilled and the fighters are vicious. Heck, Kwon (Brandon H. Lee) alone could defeat the Miyago-Do team. (At least, from what I've seen.)

Theory 6: And There Will be a Serious Injury

I'd say this one is a given, considering Cobra Kai's intense fighting style. So now, it's just a matter of who will wind up leaving with the most damage. My guess? It's going to be Sam.

You might recall how, in episode five, Tory came dangerously close to hurting her when they fought for the female captain position at Miyagi-Do. And since very little time has passed since Tory's mom died (which, side note, there should totally be a rule against letting the bereaved compete), I'm almost certain she'll try to finish what she started when she goes up against Sam at the Sekai Taikai.

Theory 7: There Will be Trouble in Paradise for Miguel & Sam

Assuming my fifth theory about Miyagi-Do's defeat is true, I'm also predicting that this will wreak havoc on Miguel mentally and emotionally. He's banking a lot on this tournament because he thinks a victory will earn him an acceptance letter—or better yet, a scholarship—to his dream school, Stanford. When that dream crumbles, however, he'll be way too distracted and discouraged to focus on Sam. Also, Sam will likely try to comfort Tanner as he struggles to deal with Tory's betrayal, and since they have a romantic history, something tells me that Miguel won't be a fan of this.

Theory 8: Mr. Miyagi's Mystery Box Will Reveal a Secret Connection to Cobra Kai

Fortunately, part one of season six has already revealed the contents of the box, including a pair of boxing gloves, a newspaper clipping, a passport and a bandana. It appears the late sensei had a few secrets of his own, including a potential secret identity, and this rattles Danny. But guys, what if these items somehow prove a connection between Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai? What if that bloodied bandana is from a super intense battle against another Cobra Kai fighter? What if it's somehow revealed that Kim Sun Yung and Mr. Miyagi were rivals like Johnny and Danny?

At this point, Danny is still looking for answers, so I'm definitely willing to consider this theory. While discussing the mystery box, showrunner Josh Heald told Screenrant, "You can go your whole life and, you never know, some aspect of a parent or grandparent that may have influenced who they were, at least a certain part of their life, or a certain phase of their life, that maybe they didn't share with you...because of their relationship with you. But that still can feel bad—it's bad when you're so close with somebody it can feel, 'How could they not let me know their full self?' So we tried to get into the reality of that and the groundedness of what it is for Daniel to start seeing Miyagi as a person, as a human being and not a saintly figure."

Theory 9: Terry Silver Will Return

Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) may be locked away in prison, but I don't think he'll stay there much longer. It's possible the charges against him will be dropped. And once he's released, he, like Kreese, will waste no time in building a powerful team of his own—one that's strong enough to rival Cobra Kai.
