It'll have you on the edge of your seat

From Running Point to Zero Day, Netflix's top shows list has something for everyone. In fact, viewers can't seem to get enough of the latest addition: Adolescence

The British crime drama just hit Netflix on March 13, and within 24 hours, it’s already claimed the number one spot on the streaming service’s list of most-watched shows. (It’s currently ranked ahead of Running Point, Everybody's Live with John Mulaney and Beauty in Black.)

Adolescence focuses on a 13-year-old school boy named Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper). His life is turned upside-down when he’s arrested for murdering a classmate. Jamie’s parents are faced with an impossible situation as their child is thrown into the legal system. They team up with his therapist and the case detective to determine what really happened—and the truth may surprise you.

In addition to Cooper, the series also stars Stephen Graham (The Irishman), Erin Doherty (A Thousand Blows), Faye Marsay (Ten Pound Poms), Christine Tremarco (Safe House), Mark Stanley (The Settlers), Jo Hartley (In My Skin), Austin Haynes (The Railway Children Return) and Elodie Grace Walker (The Wait).

Adolescence was created by Graham and Jack Thorne (The Eddy). The four-episode series was directed by Philip Barantini (Malpractice). Although it’s a scripted show, the story line feels eerily realistic because the episodes are filmed in one continuous shot.

Looks like I have plans tonight.
