It’s been almost two years since Ted Lasso season three premiered on Apple TV+. Although many thought the show was over, the streamer just confirmed that our favorite mustached coach is returning for more.
Surprise! Jason Sudeikis *Is* Returning for ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Despite Speculation About a Ted-Less Future
In the wise words of Ted Lasso, "Be a goldfish"

Today, Apple TV+ announced that Ted Lasso has been renewed for season four. To top it off, Jason Sudeikis will reprise his beloved role in the brand-new episodes.
“As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap,” Sudeikis said in a press release. “In season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to ‘leap before they look,’ discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”
Unfortunately, Apple TV+ didn’t share any further details about a premiere date or returning cast members. However, the announcement might surprise some fans who previously thought the show was over.

As you may recall, season three ended with Ted Lasso moving back to Kansas to be closer to his son, Henry (Gus Turner). At the time, Apple TV+ didn’t renew the show. There was speculation that it could return for another season, but even Sudeikis cast doubt on whether he’d reprise his role. As a result, many believed that the show would continue without Sudeikis as a series regular.
All of this happened back in 2023, when the third season originally premiered. Although it took way longer than expected to confirm Ted Lasso season four, it seems that anything is possible when you #Believe.
