The Internet Had a Meltdown When Jennifer Aniston Announced the ‘Friends’ Reunion & These Celeb Reactions Are Proof

In case you somehow missed it, the Friends cast is reuniting and people are freaking out.

Jennifer Aniston (aka Rachel Green) did the honors and shared the news by posting an Instagram photo of herself and her former castmates Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer that was simply captioned, “It’s happening…”

The internet breathed a collective sigh of relief and that’s when the amazing responses started rolling in. (Get ready for a lot of living in all caps.)

Selena Gomez wrote, “NO ONE TALK TO ME. I’M NOT OK.” Mindy Kaling asked for someone to “EXPLAIN PLEASE.” Bachelor star Nick Viall noted that the new series will bring us all “Once step closer to world peace” and Gwyneth Paltrow could not contain her excitement. She wrote, “NO F’ING WAYYYYYYYY.” Reese Witherspoon (who played Rachel’s sister in the show) commented, “WHAT???!!! This is the greatest news EVER!!!” and Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski aptly wrote, “NOTHING ELSE MATTERS” with a lot of clapping emojis.

Some celeb fans decided to go a little more on-brand with their comments and pay homage to the show. Model Tess Holiday wrote, “COULD YOU *BE* ANYMORE SERIOUS?!” and Entertainment Tonight personality Lauren Zima quipped “HOW YOU DOINNNNNN.” The best comment, however, came from Cox’s daughter, Coco Arquette, who wrote, “But like what is it bc I don’t even know.” Classic.

Although further details haven’t been revealed, the Friends non-scripted reunion special (we wonder what that will look like) is expected to hit HBO Max when the service launches in May. According to Variety, the cast is raking in the big bucks for their return to the small screen and to the Warner Brothers soundstage Stage 24 (where the original series was filmed). Each actor is allegedly receiving a $2.5 million paycheck at least. Now, that’s a lot of money.

Totally worth it, in our opinion.
