Netflix's ‘Firefly Lane’ Stars Play ‘Never Have I Ever’—& It Gets Real Dark, Real Fast

When it comes to TV BFFs, Firefly Lane’s Kate and Tully (AKA Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke) are definitely in our top five favorites.

Lucky for us, the show’s stars and real-life pals are continuing to offer us a glimpse at their relationship off of the small screen. Earlier this month, Heigl shared a video of herself and Chalke participating in a game on social media. Called Never Have I Ever: Mom Edition, the rules were fairly simple—answering questions and sipping cocktails.

“A game that involves drinking martinis...now that sounds like fun we said!” the 42-year-old actress captioned an IG post. “Watch @_sarahchalke and I play Never Have I Ever: Mom Edition and I am soooo sorry if you end up with the excavator song in your head.”

We’re not going to lie, the questions, which centered around parenting faux pas, got pretty dark quickly (the first being have you ever replaced a dead pet without telling your kids?). The best things we learned from the two-minute clip? Both women have used the pool as a substitute for bathing their children, eaten their kids’ snacks and cleaned their faces with spit.

If you didn’t know, Firefly Lane follows two lifelong best friends, Kate Mularky (Chalke) and Tallulah “Tully” Hart (Heigl), who couldn’t be more different. Told over several decades, the series focuses on the many different aspects of their relationship. And even though they occasionally grow apart, they always find their way back to each other and their childhood memories, which originated on their street, Firefly Lane.

If you need us, we’ll just be rewatching this clip until the release of season two.
