Céline Dion’s Instagram is usually filled with nostalgic throwback moments, reflections on her latest milestones and a few heartwarming (and sometimes funny) moments. But every now and then, she surprises fans with a rare peek into her family life, and that’s exactly what she did with her latest post.

On January 14, Dion took to Instagram to share a family photo to mark the anniversary of her late husband René Angélil's passing. (He died of throat cancer in 2016 at the age of 73.) The photo shows the powerhouse singer with her sons—René-Charles, 23, and 14-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy. The four of them are sitting together on an outdoor sofa, dressed in cozy cream-colored outfits, with red bows on the trees in the background, suggesting the photo was taken around the winter holidays.

In the caption, Dion wrote, "René, we can’t believe you’ve been gone nine years already. Not a day goes by that we don’t feel your presence, RC, Eddy, Nelson and I."

She continued, "You were my greatest champion, my partner, and the one who always saw the best in me. I honor you and you are forever missed mon amour…. We love you."

Fans quickly filled the comments with love and support, writing things like, "He is watching over you all & so proud of your courage, strength & love," and "He is smiling down on you all." One fan added, "René was an incredible man and friend…I will miss him! Much love to your family."

This isn’t the first time Dion has honored Angélil. Just last month, she marked what would have been their 30th wedding anniversary with a beautiful black-and-white photo from their 1994 wedding. In the photo, the "My Heart Will Go On" singer lovingly cradles Angélil's face while he holds her waist as they share a tender moment.

"You still fill our hearts, every day. You are everything for us. We miss you so much," she wrote at the time, signing off with, "Happy 30th anniversary, mon amour."
