‘Riverdale’ Star Camila Mendes Turns to Mark Consuelos for Relationship Advice

Camila Mendes just confirmed that she looks up to her on-screen Riverdale dad, Mark Consuelos, and his relationship with his wife, Kelly Ripa.

The 26-year-old actress (who plays Veronica Lodge) recently sat down for an exclusive interview with PureWow, where she dished on what it’s really like to work with Consuelos (Hiram Lodge) on the popular CW series. 

“I love Mark so much,” she told PureWow. “He’s such an inspiring human.”

While discussing her co-star, Mendes admitted that she’s grown to admire Consuelos’s marriage with Ripa. “I love his relationship with Kelly Ripa,” she said. “They’re just relationship goals.”

Mendes revealed Consuelos has become her go-to person when she needs relationship tips. “Anytime I need advice on love, I go to Mark,” she explained. “He always has the best, wisest thing to say.”

In addition to Consuelos, Mendes said that she’s “never been closer” with the Riverdale cast, since they’re required to quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic. “Being [in Canada] with the borders closed, it has really brought us together,” she added. “We really leaned on each other this year, especially with my female castmates.”

Mendes is currently promoting her partnership with Secret Deodorant, which is a must-have for summer. “Let’s be honest: It’s getting warm outside. The sweat is going to start coming through, and we need to be prepared,” she said. And we may just need it if Consuelos and Ripa keep posting steamy photos of one another.
