Philipps got the new tat over the weekend by artist Dre Li in Dallas, Texas.
She captioned the post, “My favorite illustration drawn by @mcfetridge for my book #thiswillonlyhurtalittle (it’s in the A Movie Script Ending chapter). Tattooed beautifully by @dre.dayli in Dallas at @thirdeyegallery last night. And weirdly true to form and as things always tend to be, it really always only hurts a little.”
When one user asked what her two children think of the tattoo, writing, “I’m not judging—honestly curious because I wish I was as brave as you to get a tattoo like that—but…what do you tell the kids???”
Philipps had the best response: “I tell them that these are words to live by. Especially as a woman.”
The tat is in honor of her best-selling memoir, This Will Only Hurt a Little, which follows her decision to leave her hometown of Scottsdale, Arizona, and move to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.
You tell ’em, Busy.
