Ariana Grande Went Through a Hollywood-Level Transformation for Her ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon’ Halloween Costume

Our favorite celebrities were not messing around when it came to Halloween costumes this year.

While we're still not over Lizzo's hilarious baby Yoda 'fit or Mindy Kaling's five outfit changes, there's one celeb who might just take the prize for best costume of 2021: Ariana Grande.

The “Thank U, Next” singer went through a complete transformation to look like the Gill-man from Creature from the Black Lagoon, and she's practically unrecognizable in the pictures she shared to Instagram.

The photos look like they could be promotional images for a Hollywood movie. The first and last shot were overlaid with text to appear like a film poster, which read, “Miss Creature from the Black Lagoon.”

The first image also gave credit to Grande's incredible styling team, who helped put together the Hollywood-level costume. Josh Liu did the singer's hair, while Mimi Cuttrell styled the look. The prosthetics and makeup were done by Julie Hassett, with assistance from Cici Andersen and Ally McGillicuddy. Meanwhile, Ash K. Holm applied the eye makeup, while Katia Temkin took the photos and helped with the set design.

And better yet, Grande got her hubby, Dalton Gomez, to get in on the fun. Gomez, who is credited on the first image as “Handsome Scuba Man,” is seen in the last photo wrapped in Grande's arms and decked out in scuba gear.

As if that wasn't enough, the couple followed up these photos with another impressive costume referencing a classic horror flick.

In these photos, Grande is dressed as Audrey and Gomez is dressed as Seymour from the 1986 movie Little Shop of Horrors, based on the musical of the same name.

Consider us officially wowed.
