Ina Garten is proving to be the most prolific cookbook writer of our time. (Is anyone really surprised?) Just six months after publishing her 12th title, the Barefoot Contessa is offering an enticing sneak peek into the next one.

“Photoshoot this week for the next cookbook! These are the most gorgeous asparagus I’ve ever seen! @quentinbaconphoto,” she captioned a recent Instagram post, tagging her longtime photographer, Quentin Bacon.

While the photo offers no more context than that, it looks like it will be another collection of delicious, foolproof dishes. Asparagus with lemon, pepper and loads of Parmesan? In the words of the contessa herself, “How bad can that be?”

Garten, 73, published her most recent cookbook, Modern Comfort Food, in October 2020. If her prior works are any clue, she seems to release a new cookbook every two years, which makes us think this one will come out in the fall of 2022. (All fingers are crossed.) She’s also working on a memoir, slated to launch in 2023—busy lady.

We don’t have any other details yet, but we’ll be on the lookout. In any event, you know our name will be at the top of the pre-order list when that cover drops. Anything for our queen in chambray.
