20 Easy Disney Recipes for Kids That Are Equal Parts Foolproof and Magical

1. Secret Cookies

  • Where to Order It: Gideon’s Bakehouse at The Landing in Disney Springs

These handhelds are among the most Insta-worthy Disney treats of all time. (After all, the shop’s confections take more than 24 hours to prepare.) Each month, the brand releases a limited-edition, nearly-half-pound cookie, and if you time your visit to the store’s opening or after sunset, you can also score a coffee cake cookie (at night, it’s Dark Coffee Cake, featuring a chocolate cookie base). Follow Gideon’s on social media and sign up for the newsletter to get the latest on limited-edition flavors, then snag one once you’re at the park before they sell out.

2. Loaded Galaxy Fries

  • Where to Order It: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in Tomorrowland

Fun fact: Many secret menu items are actually not so secret, since they’re available for mobile order, but you can only see them on the menu if you have the My Disney Experience app. You can order this savory side, which is crowned with cheese sauce, ranch dressing, bacon bits and Flamin’ Hot cheese dust, exclusively from your phone.

3. Pão de Queijo

  • Where to Order It: Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Adventureland

If you’ve never had Brazilian cheese bread…what the heck are you waiting for?! I, for one, have had a lot of it, and it’s well worth the hype. For the uninitiated, it’s a snack or breakfast food that stars tapioca flour, which gives the bread its signature fluffy, moist texture (and makes it gluten free). Here, it’s plated with chimichurri cream cheese.

4. Nachos Rio Grande

  • Where to Order It: Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café in Frontierland

If you’re traveling with a group, add this Disney World secret menu item to your collective to-devour list. The supersize platter of nachos serves six people with key fixings like guacamole, ground beef, salsa and queso. Just visit between 3 and 6 p.m. and ask for the Nachos Rio Grande Challenge, then see how much you and your family can handle.

5. Cinnamon Roll Candied Bacon Cheeseburger

  • Where to Order It: Roxy Counter in the Premier Food Court at All-Star Movies Resort

It never hurts to ask, and here, the risk is worth the reward. Here, you’ll need to request the secret menu from a performer at the counter. Then, they’ll bring you an O.G. Viewmaster that contains a handful of hidden meals, like poutine, bacon-topped hot dogs and, of course, the cinnamon roll candied bacon cheeseburger. (Yes, you read that right.)

6. Strawberry Soup

  • Where to Order It: Grand Floridian Café at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

This fan-favorite item is a regular at 1900 Park Fare, but did you know you can also get it at the neighboring Grand Floridian Café? I like to think of it as a fruity, sweet-tart alternative to gazpacho. It tastes like strawberries and cream and is so worth a try.

7. Impossible Stack Burger

  • Where to Order It: Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

This resto may be famous for its beef, but vegans and vegetarians can request a plant-based burger that comes complete with a side of vegan fries. (There’s also an off-menu Beyond burger at Geyser Point’s Wilderness Lodge.) Even better, you may also have luck ordering dinner dishes earlier in the day. For instance, Disney Food Blog asserts that they ordered filet mignon at lunch.

8. Christmas Pudding

  • Where to Order It: Rose & Crown Pub in EPCOT

Despite its seasonal name, you can score this decadent dessert any time of year (if you know it’s on the Disney World secret menu in the first place, that is). Located in the United Kingdom Pavilion, this treat is a plant-based chocolate pudding, flavored with coffee and crowned with whipped cream. (The well-loved sticky toffee pudding is also a can’t-miss.)

9. The King Dog

  • Where to Order It: Hot Diggity Dogs Food Truck in Disney Springs

Want to seem like a Disney vet? Ask for the King Dog on your next visit. As a reward, you’ll get a juicy beef frank topped with spicy peanut butter sauce, banana honey mustard, chipotle berry preserves and bacon, all on a French toast batter-dipped, cereal-encrusted bun. Don’t knock it ’til you try it—swicy foods are ever-popular for a reason.

10. Scotch Egg

  • Where to Order It: Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom

This one is for annual passholders only, so you have to be a real VIP to dig into this England-born delicacy. ICYMI, Scotch eggs are sausage-wrapped, boiled eggs coated in breadcrumbs and baked or deep fried to crispy perfection. Savory and packed with protein, it will definitely hold you over between rides.
