There’s really nothing like relaxing in the sunshine with a cold drink. The only thing is…we’re a bit bored with our usual beverages. Luckily, we discovered Modelo Spiked Aguas Frescas, a twist on a classic Mexican beverage that’ll seriously reinvigorate your taste buds. Modelo Spiked Aguas Frescas have all the authenticity and vibrancy of traditional aguas frescas—but spiked—and come in four tasty flavors: Pepino y Limón (Cucumber Lime), Flor de Jamaica (Hibiscus), Piña (Pineapple), and Sandía (Watermelon).

If you’re looking for a true stamp of taste approval, don’t just take it from us. We invited four of our favorite influencers to try Modelo Spiked Aguas Frescas themselves. (And in a not-so-shocking turn of events, they were all rave reviews.) Here are a few reasons why these colorful and tasty bevs stood out, and which flavors they loved most.

The One Who Definitely Judged the Book (Drink) by Its Cover

Considering the bold flavors Modelo Spiked Aguas Frescas bring to the table, influencer Genevieve Carranza (@g.eennnn) had no problem judging by looks—as in, the drinks are just as delicious as the packaging is pretty. She also loved that the Pepino y Limón flavor transported her right to Mexico.

Her favorite flavor: Pepino y Limón

The One Who Said It Reminds Her of Family

They say memories can be triggered through your senses—and that’s definitely true for influencer Jazz Ornelas (@jazz.ornelas), who remarked that the taste of Modelo Spiked Aguas Frescas reminds her of nights spent with her family. “Growing up, aguas frescas were a staple at our dining table,” she says. “These bring those same familiar, vibrant flavors, but with a little bit of boldness.”

Her favorite flavor: Piña

The One Who Said They’re Mexican-Approved

Capturing the true spirit of culturally-inspired flavors can be tough—but did Modelo Spiked Aguas Frescas pass the test? According to Mexican influencer Patty Delgado (@partyskinny), the answer is a resounding yes. Upon sipping the Sandía flavor for the first time, she said it tastes like “a real agua de sandía,” giving the bev her blessing as a fun and authentic take on traditional aguas frescas.

Her favorite flavor: Sandía

The One Who Thinks It’s the Perfect Summer Drink

Food blogger Yvette Marquez (@muybuenocooking) knows a thing or two about traditional Latin American flavors—so when she called the Flor de Jamaica flavor a refreshing spin on the classic version, we took her word for it. She also described the drink as having just the right amount of sweetness to capture that classic hibiscus flavor.
