Drew Barrymore’s celebrity interviews have gone viral time and time again, thanks to her warm, empathetic approach and shared vulnerability. Her cooking, however, we had to try for ourselves.

This week, PureWow released an all-new episode of Celeb Bites, a YouTube show “where we test out our favorite celebrity recipes.” During the episode, Juliette tested Barrymore’s viral recipe for chickpea pasta with cherry tomato sauce. The talk show host, 48, debuted the dish during her first solo cooking demo on The Drew Barrymore Show, and we haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.

In the episode (see above), Juliette explained where she found the recipe. “Today, we are making Drew Barrymore’s chickpea pasta with cherry tomato sauce,” she said in the clip. “She made this on her TV show, and I’ve been dying to try it.”

Juliette used Banza’s chickpea spaghetti for the base of her dish. (The noodles can be purchased at Amazon, Target and Walmart.) The sauce called for fresh ingredients—like cherry tomatoes and basil—combined with tomato paste and a touch of harissa for a spicy kick.

“[Harissa paste is] basically a red pepper sauce,” Juliette explained. “So, depending on how spicy you like your sauce, you can add however much you want.” (She used two tablespoons.)

Watch the full episode above for Juliette’s honest review and let us know which celeb recipe we should try next.
