Jason Kelce’s Message to Friends Before They Met Taylor Swift Is So Relatable

Stars, they're just like us

Travis Kelce may have three Super Bowl wins and be dating global pop icon Taylor Swift, but his brother Jason Kelce's latest move proves that even A-listers have moments we can all relate to.

The "Fortnight" singer, 35, has become a regular at Kansas City Chiefs home games, watching from one of Arrowhead Stadium's suites alongside some of Travis and Jason's closest friends. One of those friends, Beau Allen, recently spilled the tea on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast about a conversation he had with Jason, 37, before meeting Swift for the first time.

“Kels called me up, and the tone was like…when your dad calls you when you get in trouble for something and he doesn’t know how to get into it,” Allen, 33, joked during the January 20 episode. “He’s like, ‘You’re coming to this game. Don’t make me regret this.’”

Allen said he quickly fell in line, giving Jason a “Yes, sir” salute. Classic.

Allen attended the January 18 Chiefs game against the Houston Texans, sitting in the box with Jason. Swift, looking flawless in head-to-toe Chanel, was nearby with her parents, Scott and Andrea, her brother, Austin, and even WNBA star Caitlin Clark.

When Allen met the Eras Tour star, she surprised him with a compliment. “She’s cool, man,” he said. “She led with a compliment. She said I was funny and that she respected my commitment to, like, making a joke or getting a laugh or something like that.”

The unexpected gesture caught him off guard. “I was just like, ‘Oh, wow, I really wasn’t expecting a compliment out of you. Like, thank you,’” he recalled.

Jason’s warning to his buddy feels so relatable—it’s the same pep talk anyone might give their friends before introducing them to someone special. And it’s clear the former Philadelphia Eagles player wanted to make sure that his brother's girlfriend, Swift, had the best experience. After all, as Travis recently shared in a candid interview, “She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me.”
