This Spanish Romance Just Became One of the Top Movies on Netflix

If you're looking for a movie to heat up your Valentine's Day, Netflix just dropped a new romance titled Through My Window, and in only one day, the film has climbed into the streaming site's list of most-watched movies.

This Spanish-language romance is based on a book of the same name (A través de mi ventana) by Ariana Godoy. First published on Wattpad in 2016, the story follows the life of Raquel, a teen who becomes obsessed with her mysterious neighbor, Ares, and endeavors to get him to fall in love with her.

“As ridiculous as it sounds, it all began with the Wi-Fi password,” Raquel says at the beginning of the trailer. And things only get steamier from there. Check out the trailer below.

We see in the clip that although Raquel and Ares have been neighbors for years, their worlds collide when Raquel catches Ares using her family's W-Fi. “You think I don't know about your little obsession with me?” He later asks her.

Both of the leads are played by relative newcomers, with Clara Galle filling the role of Raquel and Julio Peña playing Ares. The pair are joined by Pilar Castro, Hugo Arbues, Eric Masip, Natalia Azahara, Emilia Lazo and Guillermo Lasheras.

Marçal Forés (Animals, Everlasting Love) acted as director on the film, while Eduard Sola wrote the film's screenplay, along with the help of the book's author, Ariana Godoy.

Currently, Through My Window is sitting above other trending romantic films, like the Zac Efron-starring The Lucky One and the independent rom-com, Can You Keep a Secret?
