Jonathan Van Ness Attempts a "Straight Accent" in Hilarious Standup Routine (but I Can't Stop Staring at His Stunning Asymmetrical Gown)

Safe to say that we’re big fans of Jonathan Van Ness over here. If we’re not swooning over his latest outfit then we're gushing at his kindheartedness (the boy loves his mama, after all) and wowed by his makeovers on the hit Netflix series Queer Eye.

And now the hairdresser extraordinaire is giving us the giggles with a recent clip that he posted of his immensely popular stand-up routine. In the video shared on Instagram, Van Ness attempts what he calls "a straight accent."

"I can't be straight, I don't have a straight accent," the comedian starts. "My straight accent is like..." Van Ness continues while shifting uncomfortably on stage as he attempts to get into straight character. He then proceeds to hunch over and give his cheeks a massage, before growling what I think is something along the lines of, "mmmmmmuhhh ballssssss!"

The audience roars with laughter and social media fans were loving it too, filling the comments with messages like: "Obsessed that the “accent” really is a whole physical transformation nailed it!" and You’re so adorable. and so funny, I could listen all night. Thx for the giggles"

The Queer Eye star is currently on tour with his stand-up routine, dubbed the "Hot & Healed Tour." Described as "Queer joy and all the sides of JVN you haven’t seen," the show is on the road across the country until June 28. (Psst: Get your tickets here.)

And that’s not all—fans (myself included) couldn’t get enough of Van Ness’s show-stopping look. For the routine, he dazzled in a shimmery gold gown with an asymmetrical hemline, paired with matching gold platform shoes.

The entire ensemble oozed glamour—perfectly befitting the star he is.
