Ayurvedic medicine—an ancient Indian system of holistic healing—is a centuries-old practice, but it’s making a major comeback in the food and wellness space. In Ayurveda, the body is composed of three distinct energies, or doshas: Kapha (space and air), Pitta (fire and water) and Vata (water and earth).
