Before you settle on which Bumble prompts to use, there’s the question of how to craft your Bumble bio—a quick intro to who you are, what you’re looking for and more. Shan Boodram, a sex and relationships expert at Bumble, tells me that a good Bumble bio is short, sweet and serves as a caption to your personality. I asked Boodram for her advice on how to craft a Bumble profile that’ll stand out from the pack, plus 25 good Bumble bios that can initiate conversations with ease.

What Does a Typical Bumble Profile Look Like?
Per Boodram, a typical Bumble profile consists of a set of photos and your name, followed by a bio and a series of fun facts about your personality, including what you’re looking for in a partner, and various interests you may have. “All of these features are designed to help pique the interest of a potential partner searching for compatibility,” she tells me. “Plus, the more specific and personalized your profile, the higher chance that Bumble’s Discover feature will show you people you’re likely to have a true connection with based on your dating goals and interests.”
How to Write a Good Bumble Bio
A good Bumble bio is typically short and sweet (there’s a limit of 300 characters, after all). It should call out a key thing about you that makes you special, Boodram shares, adding that you should think of it as a caption to your personality: If you had to describe yourself in one sentence, how would you? She notes, “The best bios highlight your essence—something that isn’t obvious when looking at your profile or your interest badges. Whether you choose to be funny, witty, genuine or something in between, bios are a nice, authentic touch to your profile that helps potential matches understand who you really are.”
When creating a Bumble bio, the expert advises users to look within and think of the things you most admire about yourself, whether that’s the way you care for others, the passion you have for your hobbies or your hardworking nature. “Identify something that you’re proud of and want a potential partner to know and show it off!”
