This Magical Drink Put Us to Sleep in 15 Minutes

In an ideal world, we’d go to bed at 11 p.m. sharp and fall asleep the second our head hit the pillow. Right. Sure. So in our seemingly endless quest to get more shut-eye, we were psyched to discover Dirty Lemon’s new sleep tonic, which is designed to help you fall asleep (and stay asleep) with ease every single night. Here’s the lowdown.

What is this stuff? Dirty Lemon Sleep is a blend of filtered water, cold-pressed lemon juice, Bulgarian rosewater, chamomile, passionflower, lemon balm and magnesium glycinate. The elixir is touted to promote calmness and drowsiness, helping you get a deeper, more restful night’s sleep.

What does it taste like? Citrus is definitely the dominant flavor, but there are notes of rosewater and chamomile, too. Think of it as a cold, extra-lemony tea.

Does it actually work? The instructions say to consume it right before bed, but because we didn’t want to be peeing all night, we tried it about an hour before. After drinking half of the 16-ounce bottle, our eyes were drooping, and within 15 minutes we were totally knocked out. But unlike taking a sleep aid or Benadryl, we didn’t feel like a zombie the next morning. When we woke up, we noticed our sleep tracking app even reported deeper sleep cycles than usual.

How much does it cost? Dirty Lemon Sleep is $65 for six bottles. But if you’re getting less-than-stellar z's, it might be worth the splurge.
