Sarah Ferguson Shares Rare Family Throwback of Her Dad & Daughters on IG

Sarah Ferguson shared a touching tribute to her late father in honor of Father's Day and, honestly, I can't get over how much the duchess looks like her father.

The 64-year-old author and philanthropist posted a rare childhood photo of her two daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, posing with her father, Major Ronald Ferguson. Meanwhile, the second slide features a close-up portrait of the major during his younger years, and it's hard to miss the uncanny resemblance to his daughter. Ferguson captioned the post, "Happy Father’s Day Dearest Dads."

In the comments, one fan wrote, "She really looks like her father!!" Regarding his distinct eyebrows, another fan wrote, "His eyebrows were always very impressive!"

Major Ronald Ferguson, who passed away in 2003, was a polo manager to the Duke of Edinburgh and later, to King Charles (formerly the Prince of Wales). He married Fergie's mother, Susan Wright, in January 1956 and they welcomed their two daughters before they divorced in 1974. A year later, he married Susan Deptford and became a father to three more children.

It was through the major's connection to the royal family that Fergie met her ex-husband, Prince Andrew. (The pair tied the knot in 1986 and had two children before their split in 1996.)

Although Fergie hasn't spoken much about her father in past interviews, they reportedly remained close until his death, and the patriarch had a close relationship with her two daughters.
