It’s normal for British royals to receive new honors and titles on occasion. Earlier this year, Duchess Sophie was named an official patron of Girlguiding (which is basically the U.K.’s version of Girl Scouts). And when Queen Elizabeth passed away, Prince William and Kate Middleton were named the Prince and Princess of Wales (though, Princess Catherine almost turned it down). Now, Queen Camilla is the latest royal to join the “new title” bandwagon.
Yesterday, the 77-year-old queen received a major honor courtesy of her sister-in-law, Princess Anne. Queen Camilla attended a special ceremony at Senate House in London, where she was awarded with an Honorary Doctorate of Literature.
