This just in: Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are officially parents!

Today, the royal family announced that the 30-year-old mother gave birth to a healthy baby boy, whose name has yet to be publicly revealed.

The tweet read, “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present. The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.”

The announcement also confirmed that several members of the royal family have been informed of the baby’s arrival. “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news,” it continued.

Shortly after the news broke, Princess Eugenie shared a never-before-seen photo on her personal Instagram account, featuring the proud parents holding the newborn’s hand.

She captioned the post with three blue heart emojis.

We first learned about Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy back in September 2020 when the royal shared a photo on Instagram of tiny koala slippers. She wrote, “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021....[baby emoji].” Queen Máxima of the Netherlands immediately chimed in, writing, “Congratulations [blue heart emoji].”

Wishing Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank all the best as they begin this exciting new chapter.
