Prince Harry Set to Receive a *Very* Big Payout for His 40th Birthday (& It’s More Than Prince William)

It trumps a bell concert, that's for sure

Come September 15, Prince Harry will reportedly come into a large sum of money, which is apparently more than his older brother, Prince William, received when he turned the big 4-0.

Unlike the Prince of Wales, who was gifted with a traditional bell concert on his 40th birthday, the Duke of Sussex will be given a portion of the Queen Mother’s trust fund. Per The Mirror, his late great-grandmother put away a whopping £70m ($90 million USD) into a trust fund for her family members.

Two of the fund recipients are Prince Harry and Prince William. The duke will be able to access his share of the trust when he turns 40. However, the royal spare will supposedly receive a larger amount than his older brother—and the reason why makes total sense.

You see, the future king is also set to receive a worthy sum. According to The Mirror, Prince William will benefit from the tax-exempt Duchy of Cornwall, which is a private estate that funds his public, charitable and private activities.

“[Prince] William will benefit from the vast wealth of the Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate that funds the public, charitable, and private activities of the King's heir,” the news outlet states. “As a result, Harry is likely to receive slightly more than half of the £14 million allocated for the brothers.” (That’s more than half of $18 million, no big deal.)

The Mirror also reported that Prince Harry is expected to receive more than £7 million on his 40th birthday. Paired with the deal he and his wife, Meghan Markle, signed with Netflix back in September 2020 as well as their other business ventures, it is estimated that the royal couple’s net worth will be around $60 million. (*Jaw drops*)

That present certainly trumps a birthday card, if you ask us.
