“Yes we can” watch Obama on Netflix, thanks to a new update from the streaming service.
Barack and Michelle Obama announced Tuesday, April 30, that they are working on a bunch of new TV shows and movies for Netflix after inking a deal with the company a year ago.
According to the The New York Times, the former president and first lady’s media company, Higher Ground Productions, will create a total of seven films and series. Barack Obama said the programming will entertain but also “educate, connect and inspire us all.” (You have our vote, sir.)
Higher Ground’s first release will be a Sundance Festival documentary called American Factory about a Chinese-owned factory in post-industrial Ohio. Crip Camp, a documentary about a summer camp for disabled teenagers that is set in the 1970s, is also on the slate.
