Mindy Kaling Calls Out Her BFF in an Avril Lavigne Meme on Instagram

If you're a fan of Mindy Kaling, then you know she loves a good joke. Not only is the 42-year-old quick-witted with her writing, but her social media is also filled with funny references, memes and teasing remarks aimed at her Hollywood friends.

Now, the latest post from The Office actress was a meme that featured pop-punk singer Avril Lavigne. The photo features two separate images—the first shows Lavigne excitedly running toward something unseen, and it’s followed by another snap of her halting in her tracks. The pics were paired with the caption, “Me on my way to tell my best friend something I'm not supposed to tell anybody.”

Along with the meme, Kaling tagged her BFF, Jocelyn Leavitt, and wrote, “So true @joce808! (via @mytherapistsays).”

Leavitt is not just the best friend of the Never Have I Ever creator, but she is also the founder of a tech app called Hopscotch, which helps kids learn coding skills so they can develop games, art and more. (She was named one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company back in 2015.)

She and Kaling have been besties for years and recently documented their much-needed reunion on Instagram. In the photo, the two were seen smiling as they laid in the grass. Leavitt wrote, “Saturday afternoon, great weather in Central Park and I haven't seen this one in almost two years!!”

Mindy, please start tagging us in memes on Instagram, too.
