Rihanna used International Women’s Day as an excuse to post rare photos of her children in the delivery room, and you won’t hear me complaining.
Rihanna celebrated the annual holiday by sharing not one, but two never-before-seen photos that were taken shortly after she gave birth to each of her sons, RZA, 2, and Riot Rose, 1.
The first photo shows RZA laying on Rihanna's chest, which is decked out in gold jewelry. The second picture features the musician holding baby Riot Rose and rocking pink sunglasses.
The caption read, “By far the most powerful thing I’ve ever done as a woman…my little miracles! #InternationalWomensDay.” Rihanna also labeled the photos, adding, “1- RZA 2- Riot Rose.”
The musician concluded the caption by commenting on her unusual accessories during childbirth: “And yes I gave birth in pearls and sunglasses…don’t ask, a lot was happening.”
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their first child, RZA (pronounced “Rizza”), in May 2022. However, the couple didn’t publicly announce his name until a year later.
People revealed RZA’s name only days before A$AP Rocky shared it himself on Instagram. “WU TANG IZ 4 DA CHUREN” the rapper quoted in his caption. “HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MY 1st BORN. RZA.”
The “Diamonds” singer announced her second pregnancy in 2023 when she headlined the Super Bowl LVII halftime show and debuted a noticeable baby bump. She welcomed her second son that summer and named him Riot Rose.
