Body Language Expert Pinpoints the 1 Way Kate & William Are Taking Cues from Meghan & Harry

It doesn't take an expert to see that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are head over heels for each other. I've officially lost count of all the times I've seen them lock eyes, whisper in each other's ears and share quick kisses in crowded settings. These two don't hold back when it comes to showing PDA, and frankly, it's a refreshing change from the quiet composure of more traditional royal couples. However, according to body language expert Darren Stanton, the Sussexes may be rubbing off on the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Stanton, also known as the human lie detector, observed Prince William and Princess Catherine's public interactions and noticed a big shift. In the past, the duo was more reserved in their gestures and physical expressions, but now, they're more relaxed when it comes to traditional royal protocol—especially when it comes to PDA. The expert also highlighted that their increased PDA may have been inspired by the Sussexes. He said, "We have seen shots recently of Kate resting her head on William’s chest and the interaction while they were making Welsh cakes last week was very affectionate. They are clearly leaning on each other for support more publicly. There is a chance that this is because they feel all the affection Harry and Meghan show to each other has given them a pass to relax slightly when it comes to traditional royal protocol."

Now, it's worth noting that the royals also had a challenging year, due partly to Middleton's cancer diagnosis, so these romantic displays may be their genuine response to bouncing back from a tough season. Even so, given how often the Sussexes show their affection (like when they traveled to Colombia together), it's not a stretch to consider the Waleses also following in Markle and Harry’s footsteps.
