Leave it to Lizzo to put a clever spin on a famous South Park special about body image.

This week, the 36-year-old Grammy winner took to Instagram and surprised fans with a series of Halloween-themed posts, where she dressed up as a popular weight-loss drug called "Lizzo." South Park fans instantly recognized it as a reference to the South Park special, The End of Obesity, where Eric Cartman is encouraged to take a new, FDA-approved drug called Lizzo. (In case you missed it, the episode features a fake ad, which claims Lizzo can "make you feel good about your weight" and "helps you eat everything you want.")

Lizzo's first IG post features a fake promo, where she poses in a life-size tube of her namesake medication—complete with a measuring tape. The tagline reads, "Need self-love? Try Lizzo! Lose guilt, gain confidence."

At the bottom of the image, the side effects are said to include "A smile on your face and a pep in your step." And fans wasted no time in praising Lizzo for her creativity. One fan commented, "This is how you respond to a South Park episode." Another wrote, "She's embracing the South Park joke. I love it."

The "Truth Hurts" singer followed up with footage of herself dancing to the jingle from the episode's fake commercial, including a cardboard cutout of Cartman in the background. She captioned the post, "Oh OH oh… it’s Lizzo b****."

In another post, Lizzo munched on a slice of pizza in costume while dancing with someone in an inflatable Cartman costume. She wrote, "It’s that time of year where I feed y’all so ridiculously and you’re so very welcome baby." One fan wrote in response, "Love you Lizzo, keep being unapologetically you."

FYI, this isn't Lizzo's first response to the famous South Park episode. Right after it originally aired in May, the singer filmed her full reaction to the ad and said, "Guys, my worst fear has been actualized. I’ve been referenced in a South Park episode. I’m so scared."

Fortunately, the show's mention wound up giving her a confidence boost.

After watching the parody, she said, "That’s crazy. I just feel like, damn, I’m really that b****. I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f*** to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f*** I am and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years. I’m really that b**** and I show you how to not give a f*** and I’ll keep showing you how to not give a f***."

Sure enough, Lizzo is doing just that with her body-positive Halloween costume.
