King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, accidentally recreated a photo of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and the similarities are striking.
This week, the king and queen embarked on a historic royal tour of Australia and Samoa. At one point, the royal couple were photographed walking down the steps of the Sydney Opera House, where they greeted a sea of well-wishers.
As Hello! magazine noted, the image bears a striking resemblance to the below picture of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. In the photos, King Charles and Prince Harry have eerily similar body language. They are both standing on the right of the photo and supporting the arm of their significant other. They even have their gaze on the stairs to ensure Camilla/Meghan don’t miss a step.
The photo of Prince Harry and Markle was taken in 2018, just five months after they tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel. At the time, the royal couple had embarked on a 16-day trip to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga. During the tour, they announced that they were expecting their first child.
King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visit to Australia was historic because it marked the monarch's first visit to the country since becoming head of state. For the outing, the queen wore a flattering white dress by Fiona Clare, which featured black piping that accentuated the pleats of her skirt.
She accessorized with a gorgeous gold brooch that was a gift from the Royal Australian Corps of Military Police, aka the RACMP. (The present held a special meaning because Queen Camilla is the regiment’s Colonel-in-Chief.)
Coincidence or not, the similarities speak for themselves.
