Who Is Keanu Reeves’s Rumored Girlfriend, Alexandra Grant?

Stop everything, because Keanu Reeves did something very rare: He brought a date onto the red carpet.

Last month, Reeves took Alexandra Grant to the LACMA Art + Film Gala presented by Gucci in Los Angeles. They walked the red carpet holding hands (!), sparking romance rumors.

We have to make one thing very clear here. There has been no confirmation (emphasis on no) from either side that Reeves and Grant are a couple. So, who exactly is Keanu Reeves’s girlfriend, err, rumored girlfriend, Alexandra Grant?

1. Who Is Alexandra Grant?

Grant is a 46-year-old Los Angeles-based artist who has worked with Reeves on multiple projects.

According to People, Grant illustrated two books that Reeves wrote: his 2011 book Ode to Happiness and Shadows. They also founded a publishing company together, X Artists' Books, in 2017.

2. Where Did They Meet?

While we aren’t exactly sure where or how the duo met, we can assume their friendship began when they started working together. Perhaps it happened while Reeves was writing his first book?

However, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen them on the red carpet together. Reeves and Grant were first photographed together at the UNAIDS Galaat Design Miami/Basel in Switzerland back in 2016.

In June, the two went to the Saint Laurent fashion show in Malibu, California, where they held hands (again) and in May, they attended the MOCA Benefit.

3. What About Non-red Carpet Events?

Grant and Reeves have also made some non-red-carpet appearances together. In October, the pair were photographed enjoying dinner together at Giorgio Baldi, a luxurious Italian hotspot, in Santa Monica, California.

According to People, they arrived together in Reeves’s Porsche and spent three hours inside the restaurant conversing and sharing a meal. They left together through a back exit after enjoying their dinner. Sneaky.

4. What Else Does Grant Do?

The 46-year-old is the creator of the grantLOVE project, which produces and sells original artworks to benefit artist projects and arts non-profits.

The organization has raised funds for Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA), Project Angel Food, Art of Elysium, 18th Street Arts Center and LAXART, according to their website.

Oh, and did we mention she can officiate weddings? Yep, back in August the artist shared a photo of herself officiating the matrimony of two friends. Pretty cool.

5. And What About Her Gorgeous Gray Hair?

In a recent Instagram post, Grant opened up about why she chooses to not dye her gray hair, calling out a study that linked permanent dyes to breast cancer.

“I went gray prematurely in my early 20’s…and dyed my hair every color along the way until I couldn’t tolerate the toxicity of the dyes any more,” Grant captioned a screenshot of an article. “In my 30’s I let my hair turn ‘blonde’… I love and support that every womxn can choose how she wants to look at every age. But/and, if womxn are perishing from beauty standards…then let’s talk about those beauty standards.”
