It all started when the audience kicked off a crowd wave during the men’s wheelchair singles final between Gordon Reid and Joachim Gerard, as Hello! magazine points out. Kate and Michael were spotted laughing at the fans as they stood and raised their arms to create a wave-like movement across the stadium.
Shortly after, Middleton and her father headed to Centre Court, where they watched Novak Djokovic defeat Matteo Berrettini. During the match, the pair were seen in deep conversation, leaning toward each other and nodding in unison before turning their attention back to the court.
Following the championship games, Middleton presented the highly coveted trophies to both winners. She awarded the athletes alongside Prince Edward (Duke of Kent), who recently stepped down as president of the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC).
We’re not totally surprised by Middleton’s involvement, since she has been a royal patron of the AELTC since 2016. Not to mention, her dad has accompanied her to multiple tournaments and even made an appearance two days prior alongside his wife, Carole.
The outing took place shortly before Middleton attended the Euro football final with her husband, Prince William, and her oldest son, Prince George (7). Unfortunately, England lost to Italy during a penalty shootout. Still, we applaud the Duchess of Cambridge for making the most of each moment during her sports-filled Sunday.
