Earlier this month, the entire royal family stepped out for Princess Catherine’s annual holiday concert, titled “Together at Christmas.” Photographers captured photos of her three children—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6—during the service at Westminster Abbey. I was so distracted by the Princess of Wales’s body language that I nearly missed this sweet moment between the royal siblings.

At one point, the Wales children offered a rare glimpse into their close-knit sibling dynamic when they were given candles. The young royals assisted each other by passing the flame using the wicks of the candles. It started with Prince George, who tipped his candle toward Princess Charlotte. Then, she helped her younger brother, Prince Louis, by doing the same.

Princess Catherine watched the whole thing go down, as shown in the photo. She could have easily helped light Prince Louis’s candle instead of waiting for Princess Charlotte. Instead, the Princess of Wales waited and even let son Louis light her own candle.
