When it comes to all things food, if Ina Garten speaks, then we certainly listen. And recently, the cookbook queen divulged a bakery item from Trader Joe's that she loves to serve her guests. Suffice it to say, we're about to make a trip to TJ's.

During a recent stop on the TODAY Show, Garten confessed that when she wants to make her job as host a little easier, she will pick up treats from the grocery store, and recently, she wowed her guests with the Trader Joe's French apple tart (which retails for only $8, btw).

For Garten's appearance, she sat down with various hosts of TODAY and they all discussed their traditions for the holidays. It was during this chat that co-anchor Savannah Guthrie brought up a past comment from Garten about buying grocery store items when hosting. “When you're hosting, you don't want to be stuck in the kitchen the whole time,” Guthrie noted.

Garten agreed, saying, “The other day, I had some friends over and I got an apple tart from Trader Joe's. I put it in the oven—it was absolutely delicious.” Guthrie then chimed in to joke, “Trader Joe's stock just skyrocketed,” and she added that the dessert will be renamed the “Ina tart.”

Garten continued, noting that she added a small personal touch to the TJ's product. “I served it with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce that I warmed up from a jar,” the Barefoot Contessa host said. “There was nothing to do and it was [still] mine, it was personalized.”

Among her many famous recipes, one of Garten's classics is actually her own take on the French apple tart, which can be found here.

We love knowing that even this master in the kitchen still picks up a grocery store baked good every once in a while (and we'll be stealing that tip about the caramel sauce).
