The arrival marks Duff's second child with her husband, Matthew Koma, following mini-me Banks. Duff gave birth to her son, Luca Cruz, in 2012, as a part of her previous relationship with Mike Comrie.
The exciting news follows much anticipation around the birth of Duff's third child. While she announced her pregnancy with a sweet baby bump video last October, fans have also speculated whether her recent decision to dye her hair blue was a covert way of announcing the baby's sex (which was apparently not the case).
Many friends shared their excitement in the comments section, like Mandy Moore who typed a series of heart-eye emojis and said, "love this!!" Duff's Younger co-star, Molly Bernard wrote, "THIS. PICTURE. THE GASP I UTTERED KNOCKED ME DOWN." Meanwhile, many commented on the stunning picture of Banks, like hairstylist Nikki Lee, who said, "Banks the big sis!" Vanessa Lachey was shocked at how old Banks looked, saying, "Babe!!!! Why is she a teenager?!"
Duff recently sat down with PureWow to talk about how thrilled her children were to have a new baby in the house. She said, "Banks thinks she’s pregnant too—and whenever we tell her to kiss the baby she leans over and tries to kiss her own tummy! I don’t really think she knows what’s going on or how much her life will change. Luca is my chill kid but was super excited to hear the news. The one thing he isn’t thrilled about is having to wait to find out what we’re having until the baby’s arrival.”
Luckily for Luca, he won't have to wait any longer. We'll just be waiting on more baby pics.
