Congratulations are in order for Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, who are now officially parents!
The couple recently welcomed their first child, a baby girl, and confirmed the news on Wednesday, Sept. 23. While the pair have yet to announce the name, Gigi shared a sweet pic of their newborn gripping her hand on Instagram and wrote, "Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love."
Her loved ones and famous pals offered their congratulations in the comments, including Hailey Bieber, who wrote, "Welcome babygirl! So happy for you guys."
Malik also posted on Twitter, announcing, "Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful. To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x."
The news comes just a few days after Hadid's dad, Mohamed Hadid, released a sweet letter for his granddaughter, causing fans to speculate that his daughter had given birth. However, the now-infamous post has since been deleted and he confirmed in the comments that the baby hadn't been born yet.
Mohamed's note read, "Hello little grandchild, it is me, my heart is as happy as can be. I wish for you the sun and moon, I wish for you a happy time. Know that Grandpa's always near. I'll do anything, anything for you my dear."
The letter continued, "When I heard you were on the way, I smiled and wiped a tear away. I cried the tear because I knew, my heart would always belong to you."
The 25-year-old model confirmed her pregnancy while appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon in April. She said, "We're very excited and happy and grateful for everyone's well wishes and support." Only a month later, she debuted her growing baby bump with stunning maternity photos for the first time on Instagram.
