Emily Hampshire Reveals She Took a Major Piece of the ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Set Home with Her

Just because filming for Schitt’s Creek is over doesn’t mean Emily Hampshire has completely moved on from the sitcom. In fact, the 38-year-old actress just revealed that she took home a memorable souvenir, which is now proudly displayed in her cozy apartment.

Hampshire (who plays Stevie Budd) recently sat down for an exclusive interview with PureWow, where she discussed the final day on the set of Schitt’s Creek. To help with the emotions, the actress admitted that she took home the giant painting that was displayed behind the front desk of the motel (partially shown in the embed above).

“I was so sad that I took—you know, there’s a giant painting of a stag deer behind the desk? I took that home with me,” she told PureWow.

Hampshire confirmed that the painting is just as big in person as it appears on Schitt’s Creek—so much so that it takes up the majority of her wall space. “So, in my 500 square foot apartment, there is a life size of a deer that takes up the entire room,” she added. “It’s amazing.”

Now that Schitt’s Creek is nearly over, Hampshire has other roles to occupy her time. In fact, she most recently appeared in a four-spot Super Bowl commercial for Tide Power PODS, which encouraged procrastinators to join the conversation on social media with #LaundryLater.

We personally would’ve taken home a box full of Moira’s wigs but, hey, to each their own.
