Demi Moore has some encouraging news to share about Bruce Willis's health.

This weekend, the Ghost actress, 61, attended the Hamptons International Film Festival in New York, where she was honored with the Career Achievement in Acting Award. During a live discussion with HIFF Advisory Board member Alina Cho, she revealed that her ex-husband is now stable, following his dementia diagnosis.

Moore said, “You know, I’ve said this before. The disease is what the disease is, and I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is. But for where he’s at, he is stable.”

As for how she's been navigating his illness, Moore said, "What I always encourage is to just meet them where they're at. When you're holding on to what was, I think it's a losing game. But when you show up to meet them where they're at, there is great beauty and sweetness."

The actress also revealed that she and her grandchild, Louetta (Rumer's daughter) recently paid a visit to the Sixth Sense actor, noting how much she values "being able to share with whatever we have, for however long we have it."

If you recall, in March 2022, Willis’s family announced that he was retiring from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia. However, in February 2023, they released a new update to reveal that his condition had progressed to frontotemporal dementia (also known as FTD).

On her Instagram account, Moore shared a pic of Willis and wrote, "We wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing. Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis."

Although Willis has stepped down from acting, it appears the proud dad of three is spending as much quality time with family as possible—and no one could be happier to spend time with him than his wife, Emma Heming Willis.

While celebrating his birthday in March, she wrote, "What you might not know, but maybe you could imagine, that being wrapped in his arms is the safest place in this whole wide world. He’s a true gentle-man. With so much love to give and share. That’s what I get to see, his true core. I can tell you, it’s so pure and ever so good. Happy Birthday my love. You are the gift that keeps giving."
