Your kids are already obsessed with your Alexa thanks to her on-point Moana soundtrack playing abilities and snow day calculator. And here’s another child-friendly skill that they’ll love, right in time for the holidays.
If you have an Echo Dot Kids Edition (or a subscription to FreeTime on Alexa with other compatible Echo and Fire devices), kids can now give old St. Nick a call.
Simply say, “Alexa, call Santa,” to be connected to his workshop at the North Pole.
Now, as everyone knows—Santa is very busy this time of year. So, while you won’t actually be able to speak to the big man himself, you will be able to chat with a worker or helper. This person will then connect with Santa, and kids can listen in on their jolly back-and-forth (complete with ho-ho-hos and all). Which might be a good thing, considering how your kid panicked at the sight of Santa at the mall last year (it’s not easy meeting a celebrity).
