Meghan Markle might wear her fair share of designer dresses and high-end accessories, but girl has never been one to shy away from shopping off the rack. In fact, the ever-so-stylish Duchess of Sussex frequently rocks pieces from one of PureWow editors’ favorite mid-range retailers: Aritzia! Royals, they really are just like us (well, sometimes).

Markle, for her part, has amassed quite the collection of elevated-yet-approachable Aritzia styles over the years, from a cult-favorite puffer jacket to a totally timeless shirtdress that even a plebeian like myself could get a ton of use out of—no fancy international engagements necessary. And, due to the fact that Aritzia frequently re-ups and refreshes its core collection of clothing, a bunch of Markle’s favorite pieces from the retailer are still in stock and ready to shop. If you’re in the market for a duchess-approved wardrobe update, read on for the Aritzia picks you can snag straight from her own closet.

Between its longline silhouette, figure-flattering princess seams and luxurious blend of Italian virgin wool and cashmere, this gorgeous number simply exudes elegance. Just take a gander at it draped just so over Markle’s shoulders during a visit to King’s College London in 2018. As cozy as it is classic, the coat features a silky cupro lining and the brand’s “UnReal suede” interlining for added warmth, as well as a funnel neck that happens to be very much in vogue this season. Always ahead of the curve, that Meghan.

Sleek and sophisticated are the two words I’d use to describe this lapelless blazer—an updated version of one that Markle has actually donned on repeat in the past (once in 2017 at a polo match in the U.K., and once in 2019 while she and Harry were on a royal tour of Morocco). It features the same tailored fit and angular cut, and is constructed of the brand’s drapey, Japanese-sourced crepe fabric that’s lightweight enough for layering—meaning it shouldn’t cause you to overheat if you throw a winter coat over it. Even if your job doesn’t involve shaking hands with diplomats and/or Oprah, this pick is a must-add to any work-ready wardrobe.

Aritzia’s Super Puff jackets have become TikTok royalty in their own right, so it’s only fitting that Duchess Meg would have one in her winter rotation. In March 2024, Markle hit the slopes in this long version of the viral style while on a ski trip in Utah, proving (at least in my eyes) that the down-insulated, water-repellant and wind-resistant number really does hold up in uber-cold climates and extreme weather. Adding to its functionality is, of course, its high collar, detachable hood and button-up side vents, but IMO, the fact that it comes in *a ton* of cute colors might be its biggest draw.

A shirtdress for me(g), a shirtdress for thee—I truly think everyone should own a button-up frock such as this beauty. Complete with a classic collar and waist-cinching tie-belt, this midi is as versatile as they come; it’s polished enough for an after-work event, but casual enough to throw on when you’re running way late to your brunch date with the gals. Plus, its Japanese crepe fabric purportedly stays wrinkle-free, so it’s no wonder Markle had this suitcase-friendly style on hand during her 2019 tour of South Africa.

Even when the duchess is dressed down, she’s dressed to the nines. Case in point? That time she wore a country-cool Texas tuxedo while visiting an Austin BBQ joint earlier this year. Making up the top half of her denim-on-demin ensemble was none other than this under-$100 jean shirt from Aritzia. While the ‘80s-inspired design is meant to have a loose, laid-back fit that allows it to work perfectly as an open layer, nothing’s stopping you from sizing down and buttoning it up for a slimmer silhouette à la Meg. This particular wash (along with a few others) is made with a blend of cotton and hemp, so you can expect it to feel sturdy but breathable—again, great for layering in the colder months.

Haven’t you heard? The hipster aesthetic is on its way back in, although I’d argue that cozy, slouchy beanies, like this refreshed edition of one Markle wore in 2018, never actually went “out” to begin with. Throwback or not, this plush cashmere piece is practically begging to keep your head warm on frigid days, and at this price, you should definitely let it.
