Yup, I'm definitely sleeping with the lights on tonight

Back when we were both in college, my cousin recounted a “roommate from hell” story she experienced while residing on campus during her freshman year. And ever since then, I’ve always been wary of living with roommates. And now, Netflix’s latest number one series just reinforced my fear.

The second season of Netflix’s original series, Worst Roommate Ever, debuted on the streaming service on June 26. And it didn’t take long for the ominous true-crime series to reach the number one spot on Netflix’s top ten shows list

So what makes this show an absolute must-watch? For one, it would have to be its enticing premise. Over the span of four episodes, individuals recount their bad roommate stories, from a woman who uses the dark web to obtain custody of her roommate’s child to a man who imprisons his roommate. Scary, I know.

The episodes delve into the crimes committed by Janie Ridd, Michael Dudley, Scott Pettigrew, and Tammy Fritz. The stories featured in Worst Roommate Ever season two take place in Salt Lake City, Palm Springs, Seattle and Colorado Springs.

Trailing behind the true-crime series is the new British drama, Supacell. The superhero series, which just debuted on Netflix on June 27, follows five South Londoners who discover they possess supernatural powers.

In an exclusive interview with Deadline, creator and writer Rapman revealed how he had to go back to the drawing board after Netflix rejected his original script. “I told them, I need a week. Just give me a week and then you can talk to me about coming from scratch and five years later, just give me a week. So I sat down and I watched all the shows that inspired me. The Wire, Breaking Bad, and movies like Goodfellas,” he told the outlet.

I know what two shows I’m starting tonight.
