Remember when Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson) took a sensual bath in season three of Virgin River? Well, these behind-the-scenes photos prove that it was far from romantic.
Producers recently shared a slideshow on the show’s official Instagram account, featuring rare BTS shots that were taken on set. Although Virgin River looks realistic on TV, these pics confirm that the in-person experience is an entirely different story.
The first photo was taken during rehearsal, featuring Breckenridge wearing a sweatshirt, sweatpants and a face mask as she lays in the bathtub. The second pic shows Breckenridge and Henderson embracing in a hug, while the crew peers in through the window. The BTS photos are followed by stills from the actual show, where the actors are posing naked in said bathtub.
The caption read, “Mel alone time interrupted…BTS.” Fans couldn’t help but laugh at the candid post in the comments section. One person wrote, “You forget how unromantic a love scene really is when all the production crew is standing around watching!” Another added, “Nothing to see here.” Someone even referenced the dessert prop: “Did anyone eat that cupcake?”
The cast is currently filming Virgin River season four in Vancouver, Canada. The show is set to pick up right where we left off in the previous installment. Not only are the new episodes going to reveal the identity of Mel’s baby, but they’re also supposed to answer the burning question: If Brady (Ben Hollingsworth) didn’t shoot Jack, then who did?
